Meet Dr. Jack Kellner

"There are no physicians in the NY legislature. There are no psychiatrists in the NY legislature. But there are lots of consultants, lawyers, and lobbyists there.

I believe I can bring invaluable insight, due to my background as a physician who worked in locked psychiatric units and a former public health officer in the NYC Department of Health, to tackle public health and mental health underfunding and misspending, and spearhead the legislation needed to address the needs of those most vulnerable and impacted.

Isn’t it time that when talking about health and mental health issues which affect the constituents of our district and our state, our legislators are held accountable to know the subjects they’re talking about?

The next public health crisis is just around the corner. How valuable would it be to have a licensed public health doctor in the state legislature?"
